Currently a Green municipal councillor in Renens, Jonas Kocher will succeed Anne Marion Freiss in October. She will take over the prefecture of Broye-Vully.

The Council of State has appointed a new prefect for the West Lausanne district as of October 1. Jonas Kocher will take over from Anne Marion Freiss, who will take over the prefecture of the Broye-Vully district, following the retirement of Olivier Piccard.

Aged 30, Jonas Kocher is known to sit among the Vert.es as a municipal councilor in Renens, a plenum which he chaired in 2020. He currently works as a mediator in the framework of the tram project between Renens and Lausanne.
