The article in the Quotidien Jurassien devoted to the misadventure of a resident of Lajoux who was fined 215 francs. for having slipped a bag of clothes into a Texaid container outside opening hours at the Abbé Monnin ecopoint in Bassecourt has loosened some tongues. A lady from Courfaivre, wishing to remain anonymous, also received quite an uppercut when she recently read a letter from the commune of Haute-Sorne. A fine of 610 fr. was inflicted on him for having placed boxes next to the appropriate skip, even though it was full to the brim.
The scene took place on the morning of October 14, at the Bruye ecopoint, in Courfaivre. Roads personnel were able to trace the unfortunate woman, her address appearing on one of the wet boxes placed on the ground. Besides others, moreover… “More than 600 francs for three boxes, that makes the box expensive”, laments the wife, ironically. It was the first time she had visited the ecopoint located near the local football field. Usually, this mission falls to her husband.
A painful “certainly exaggerated”
Via a registered letter addressed to the Haute-Sorne executive, the offender acknowledged her fault, apologized, and indicated that she would not formally oppose the fine. But she asks for a little leniency regarding the amount of the penalty, deemed “excessive”, given the degree of seriousness of the misdeed. When contacted in person, the mayor told him that the case would soon be studied by the Municipal Council. Contacted by us, Eric Dobler admits that the pain is “certainly exaggerated in relation to the crime committed by this lady. You should also know that the regulations on waste go back well before the appearance of ecopoints. With my colleagues in the executive , we are going to discuss the severity of this fine, which is indeed excessive.”
