The 164th Hospices de Beaune wine sale is about to begin. A new edition, marked by a difficult year for winegrowers, which will offer 438 pieces for sale, half as many as in 2023, but no less devoid of taste qualities.
If the profits collected from the sale of these several hundred bottles of wine will go to the Hospices de Beaune hospital, the funds collected for the 2024 Charity Piece, a Beaune Premier Cru Les Bressandes, will go to Médecins sans frontières (MSF) as well as the Global Gift Foundation. Two associations highlighted this year during these major auctions.
The actresses Zabou Breitman and Eva Longoria, both godmothers of these associations, detail on the microphone of France 3 Bourgogne-Franche-Comté the actions which will be carried out thanks to the donations received this Sunday.

Zabou Breitman : The word neglected is very important, there are 1.7 billion people affected. This does not concern us a priori, but in reality, it concerns us completely since we are one and only human health. The idea that we are protected because we are far away is completely false. Morally, we can worry about others. Otherwise, we can just worry about ourselves, telling ourselves that all this can happen to us too. And MSF constantly reminds us that there is only one health on Earth.
Eva Longoria : It's an association that creates the link between people who work for great causes, which we try to highlight, and foundations, sources of funding. Above all, we seek to focus on women and children, because we are convinced that if we help one woman, we will help an entire family and, ultimately, an entire community. We hope that real and lasting changes will be made in the world for them. So we expect a lot from this sale.
Zabou Breitman . : We'll see it step by step, we'll laugh I think. A lot. This is essential.
Eva Longoria : The goal is always to raise as much money as possible and I hope we can climb very high. Fortunately we came across a good year: 2024, your wine is incredible!
Zabou Breitman : Yes and above all there are few bottles. We must not forget that when there is little, it is rare, and when it is rare, it is expensive. You have to have it this vintage… So here we go!
