At least 15 police officers were killed in attacks on Sunday targeting Orthodox churches and a synagogue in Dagestan, in the Russian Caucasus, regional leader Sergei Melikov said.

“More than 15 police officers were victims of the terrorist act” in Dagestan, said Mr. Melikov, in a video published overnight on Telegram.
