It’s a big day for Tidiane, the son of Omar Sy and Hélène Sy. The couple who have five children, three girls and two boys – Selly (23 years old), Sabah (21 years old), Tidiane (18 years old), Alhadji (15 years old) and the youngest, Amani-Nour (7 years old) – have saw their third baby graduate!
The actor and his wife who live in the United States of course participated in the graduation ceremony which took place exactly like in the American series. With his black toga and the famous square hat on his head, the son was proud! And the dad too who shared his joy on Instagram. “I am Tidiane’s father and I am so proud of him… Continue your journey which is already very beautiful and astonishing. Go for it my son… Fly high!“, he wrote in the caption of a photo of his wife, his son and him. Hélène Sy also shared this special moment in a story.
Tidiane Sy attends Calabasas High School. Calabas being a very chic neighborhood of Los Angeles – it is said to have replaced Beverly Hills – where stars like Drake and Kanye West have their habits. If the outfit to wear for this graduation is of course mandatory, Tidiane added her own personal touch by wearing red sneakers but not just any: Nike Air Yeezy 2. Depending on the model, these can cost several thousands or tens of thousands of euros! Moreover, Tidiane, by highlighting her shoes in the story of her Instagram account, accompanied her photo with a song by Kanye West. So he seems to be a big fan of the rapper.
Going to the United States, Omar Sy explained why
If Tidiane and the other children of the Sy couple are educated in the United States, it is for a very specific reason. In his book Come on, let’s talkborn from his conversations with the journalist from New Obs Elsa Vigoureux, Omar Sy told an anecdote which explains this choice. “I bring my son to school and I hear: ‘Oh look, he’s Omar’s son’. Whereas before that, I was Tidiane’s father. I said to myself, ‘ What am I going to do? There’s going to be a point where he’s bound to hate me if he can’t even have a first name.” And added: “It freaked me out.”.
