The Al Mada Foundation, in collaboration with the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports (MENPS), inaugurated the Regional Arts Academy on November 15.
This partnership aims to broaden access for young Moroccans to quality artistic education, based on an innovative educational approach. Supported by Attijariwafa bank and inwi, this initiative is part of a joint effort to democratize the arts and promote cultural development.
Inspired by the program launched in 2009 by the Attijariwafa bank Foundation in Casablanca, the Regional Arts Academy aims to extend this successful model nationally. Since its creation, the program has allowed nearly 2,000 students to learn about visual arts and multimedia. From the start of the 2024/2025 school year, pilot classes were opened at the Villa des Arts in Rabat and at the Center for Artistic Development in Tangier, offering 300 young people aged 15 to 21 years old tools to develop their creativity.
Designed by the Al Mada Foundation in partnership with the MENPS, the approach adopted is based on project-based teaching and integrates contemporary disciplines, such as digital arts. Young people also benefit from immersive masterclasses and cultural outings for complete immersion in the artistic world. This educational system is run by seasoned professionals, providing expertise adapted to the expectations of students.
By extending this program to the regions, the Regional Arts Academy strengthens its impact by supporting creativity and innovation among young people. This initiative contributes to opening up to the opportunities offered by the artistic and cultural sectors, while affirming the commitment of the Al Mada Foundation and the ministry to accessible and quality artistic education.
