What a festival”offers a program adapted to music lovers and curious people in search of discoveries with meetings, showcases, conferences and workshops spread across different emblematic places in the city of Rabat, all located close to each other”, adds the same source.
The opening evening, which will be held at the Mohammed V Theater, will be marked by tributes, followed by three free concerts by Tasuta N-Imal, Ferro Gaita and Valerie Ekoume.
New this edition is “After-parties at Chellah”, with evenings hosted by renowned artists such as RJ Kanierra, Omary and Monile.
This year, the ExpoStand, the Visa for Music trade show, will open its doors from November 21 to 23 at the Mohammed V Theater. It will see the participation of more than 50 exhibitors, who will come to present the music industry of their country, their festival , their production company, or even their label.
In addition, a series of workshops will be held throughout the event, notably around the themes “From the local scene to international festivals: accessing global opportunities for emerging artists”, “Capacity building around technical professions of music” and “Introduction to interactive music and the creation of music for video games”.
These workshops will also focus on “The Cultural and Creative Industries Business Incubation Program (PIICC)”, “Access to culture in the field of music: capacity development in the field of music and new professions”, “Music festivals in Africa and the MENA region: attractiveness of territories and socio-economic impact” and “Inclusion and diversity in the music industry: central role of women in empowerment and community development”.
