During the month of October 2024, the Sangomar project continued to demonstrate strong performance with production of 2.82 million barrels of crude oil. This volume is in addition to the 8.17 million barrels produced between June and September 2024, bringing total production to 10.99 million barrels over the last five months. Of this production, 10.57 million barrels were extracted and marketed via 11 cargoes, thus confirming the solidity and efficiency of operations.

Currently, all 12 wells in the field are fully operational, contributing to consistent yield. These results reflect sustained efforts to optimize the exploitation of the field, which remains a key player in the country’s oil production.

Forecasts for the last half of 2024 remain optimistic, with an expected production of 100,000 barrels per day, making it possible to target a total annual production of 11.70 million barrels. These forecasts are maintained despite the challenges inherent to exploitation, and demonstrate the resilience and stability of the Sangomar project, which continues to be a strategic pillar of the Senegalese oil industry.
