Bac 2024: subjects and answers to the specialty tests on Thursday June 20 (day 2)

End of a “marathon” week for final year students in the general and technological series: after philosophy on Tuesday morning, their first specialty test on Wednesday, they took their second and last specialty written test this Thursday. No wave of Covid, heat or strike disrupted the planned schedule this year: the tests took place in June, as announced at the end of August 2023 by the former Minister of National Education, Gabriel Attal.

We revealed to you the subjects that fell abroad, then the specialty subjects and corrections of the first day of Wednesday June 19 for mainland France, Mayotte, the Antilles and Guyana; we also publish the subjects and answers for the candidates summoned this Thursday from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. or 6 p.m., depending on the subject. Each high school student can be summoned either on Wednesday or Thursday for the same subject… Only the foreign and regional language, literature and culture test (LLCER) takes place only this Thursday (foreign and regional languages, literatures and cultures: English, German , Spanish, Breton…).

The subjects are sent to us directly by the Ministry of National Education; our corrections are written by high school teachers teaching in the subject matter.

3 million copies to scan and correct

Once the tests are finished this evening, it’s time to correct the papers! For the second year in a row, it will be entirely dematerialized. The 3 million copies (including the 3 sectors and anticipated French bac exams) will be scanned to avoid any loss during transport to the correctors. The novelty this year for the correction of copies concerns the end of the harmonization of marks via “academic corrections” of the baccalaureate, a “tweak” which made it possible to revise upwards the marks of all the students of the same academy.

The grades for each specialty test will be communicated with the baccalaureate results (as well as the grades for the grand oral and the philosophy exam) on Monday July 8.
