Thus, Casa Transports is working on the construction of this space which should have an approximate capacity of 800 places and be converted into two basements. In this sense, the company has just launched two related calls for tenders. The first concerns demolition work and general earthworks for the “Triangle des Hôtels” car park, while the second relates to the execution of the work and topographical control.
As Casa Transports specifies, the future parking lot will be built over an area of 13,000 square meters and delimited by several routes, namely Avenue des FAR, Boulevard Hassan II, Rues Félix and Max Guedj. It must be said that traffic flow is a major concern for a large part of Casablanca residents. The city is experiencing a massive influx of vehicles, which requires more car parks and parking spaces but also more lanes to overcome the traffic problem overall in the metropolis. Other large-scale projects have also been designed to ease traffic in the region, such as the continental highway which should link Casablanca-Rabat and the Casablanca-Had Soualem and Dar Bouazza highway. This project led by the Regional Directorate of Equipment, Transport, Logistics and Water of Casablanca-Settat is at the stage of carrying out the definition study.
“This motorway link will connect the Casablanca-Rabat continental motorway to the Tit Mellil-Berrechid motorway, and the Casablanca-Berrechid motorway (A3), and the Casablanca-Had Soualem motorway (A1) and the regional road RR320, with as the main objective the significant reduction in the distance and travel time of users going to Berrechid and Had Soualem and coming from Rabat”, indicates the same management adding that this motorway connection would relieve the A1 motorway between Tit Mellil and Had Soualem .
