On Wednesday, on France Inter, Arnaud Roussseau launched a call for a national mobilization of farmers “from Monday”.
“The first message is that we are not here to annoy the French. Today, we are not targeting the highways,” promises Arnaud Rousseau.

The country's agricultural sectors fear a potential signing of the free trade agreement by the European Union with Mercosur.
This free trade treaty between the 27 of the EU and the Latin American countries of Mercosur (Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay) has been under discussion for more than 20 years, but its conclusion seems imminent for the countries which defend it . In particular, it provides for a quota for Latin American beef imports of some 90,000 tonnes per year.
