During his press review on Tuesday, Paul Arcand addresses the many issues in the health sector, including the issue of The Press which highlights the growing number of specialized nurse practitioners who are leaving for the private sector.

Even if the phenomenon is difficult to quantify, the Association of Specialized Nurse Practitioners of Quebec confirms seeing this exodus.
For what ? For the same reasons as many other health professionals. A more pleasant schedule, more ease in reconciling work and family, and for many, this is an aspect that is rarely addressed. […] it’s a very special vision of how to practice medicine. We want to take time, particularly in mental health, to take inventory of all of a patient’s ailments. The principle, which is not recognized, but which in fact exists, a meeting, a boo-boo, there are some who are not comfortable with that.
