El Jadida – The revitalization of the tourism sector was at the center of a meeting held recently in El Jadida as part of the GO SIYAHA program.
Organized by the tourism delegation and the Provincial Tourism Center (CTP), in partnership with Maroc PME, this event brought together more than 90 tourism operators (hoteliers, restaurateurs, travel agencies and transporters, etc.) from El Jadida and Sidi Bennour, all came to discover how GO SIYAHA can contribute to diversifying and revitalizing the local tourist offer, according to a press release from the Program.
El Jadida: a destination with multiple assets
GO SIYAHA highlighted the exceptional potential of the provinces of El Jadida and Sidi Bennour. With 130 km of beaches, lush forests and the Oum Rbiaa wadi crossing a varied hinterland, the region is ideal for seaside tourism and water sports, particularly around the beach of Sidi Bouzid and the lagoon of Oualidia.
In addition to its natural landscapes, El Jadida is home to a rich historical heritage, including the Portuguese city listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Azemmour medina and the Boulaaouane fortress. Local traditions such as fantasia, falconry, crafts and gastronomy add an authentic dimension to the tourist offering, providing visitors with a unique cultural experience.
A committed program for a diversified tourist offer
Sector professionals praised GO SIYAHA’s commitment to supporting investment, technical assistance and sustainable development. This program is seen as a key lever to meet the needs of a constantly evolving market, while promoting the cultural and natural wealth of the region.
This meeting allowed local stakeholders to strengthen the attractiveness of El Jadida by offering a varied offer adapted to the expectations of Moroccan and international visitors.
Note that the GO SIYAHA program offers tourism businesses comprehensive support to strengthen their competitiveness and promote their growth. It is thus structured into three components, namely support for investment with bonuses of 30% for accommodation projects associated with an entertainment offer, and 35% for entertainment projects alone, with a ceiling of 10 million dirhams.
It also offers technical assistance that covers up to 90% of consulting costs in strategy, operations, market development and digital transformation, with a maximum of 1 million dirhams. As well as green growth with a 40% premium for sustainable development projects, encouraging eco-responsible practices in the tourism sector.
