Cleanliness, modern facilities, entertainment: the beaches of Dar Bouazza have a radical change of scenery

Recycled sand, established parasols, dining tables and play areas installed… a few days before the summer season, the beaches of Dar Bouazza are already ready to welcome vacationers in new attire.

It all started in 2023. Thanks to a budget of 2 million dirhams, the beaches of Tamaris 1, Dar Kouch and Oued Merzeg were equipped with new infrastructure and modern equipment. Since then, these beaches have sparkled like jewels, attracting locals, tourists and other passing visitors.

Investments made in 2023 have transformed our beaches, making them more welcoming and better equipped», Confides Houssame Morhal, president of the social, cultural and sports commission of the commune of Dar Bouazza. “This metamorphosis has aroused collective enthusiasm, which encourages local authorities to redouble their efforts for the rest of the region’s beaches in the years to come.», he adds in an exchange with Le360.

For summer 2024, the work included the modernization of existing infrastructure, the creation of new leisure areas and the improvement of access to the beach. Visitors will be able to discover children’s play areas, sanitary facilities, including for people with specific needs, a beach radio… and even a library for lovers of reading under the sun. Free parasols are also placed in the sand, providing perfect relaxation spots for those who prefer to stay in the shade.

And the momentum doesn’t stop there. Already, plans for 2025 are taking shape. A new budget of 2 million dirhams will be allocated to the renovation of Tamaris 3 beach. This next phase plans to strengthen infrastructure, improve safety and comfort equipment, and promote ecological practices to preserve the coastline. .

These projects are part of an overall vision of tourism development for Dar Bouazza. “These investments demonstrate our commitment to enriching our tourism heritage while offering an improved living environment to our fellow citizens and visitors.», underlines Houssame Morhal. These efforts aim to boost the local economy and strengthen the social fabric of the region.
