The Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), in partnership with the Eyrolles Group and Sochepress, is inaugurating the first “Eyrolles Bookstore” in Africa, located on its Rabat and Benguerir campuses.
The opening of the Rabat Bookstore took place on October 23, 2024, followed by that of the Benguerir Bookstore, inaugurated on November 7, 2024. This initiative fits perfectly with the mission of the UM6P, which aims to facilitate the access to knowledge and to enrich the academic and cultural experience of its community.
Designed to offer a modern and collaborative learning environment, UM6P campuses encourage creativity and innovation. The establishment of Eyrolles bookstores is part of this dynamic, offering students, researchers and teachers direct access to a wide selection of academic and cultural resources.
Under the “Librairie Eyrolles” brand, these spaces offer a varied range of books in Arabic, French and English, covering various themes such as the human sciences, the arts, personal development, as well as an offer adapted to academic programs and specialties of each campus. Managed by Sochepress, the bookstores meet the needs of students, former students, teachers and visitors, also offering them supplies, clothing and related products in the colors of UM6P.
More than just a sales space, bookstores are intended to be places of life and entertainment, with literary meetings, creative workshops and various cultural events throughout the year. These initiatives aim to transform bookstores into real spaces for exchange and sharing, thus strengthening the role of UM6P in the dissemination of knowledge and the promotion of culture within its community and beyond.
