His Majesty King Mohammed VI announced a major transformation in the way of managing the affairs of the Moroccan community residing abroad, during of a speech given on the occasion of the 49th anniversary of the Green March.
This initiative aims to modernize and simplify the services offered to Moroccans around the world, thus facilitating their contribution to the country’s development. This transformation revolves around two key entities: le Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad, who will play a central role of reflection and proposal, and the Mohammedia Foundation for Moroccans living abroad, which will become the operator of the national policy dedicated to MRE.
This foundation will coordinate actions and simplify administrative, legal and economic procedures for Moroccans around the world. HM the King also underlined the importance of opening investment prospects for MREs, recalling their patriotic commitment and their attachment to the defense of the territorial integrity of Morocco.
This reform marks a decisive step in strengthening ties with this community essential to the influence and development of the Kingdom.
