The woman who was brought out dead from the Arve, in Geneva, on November 12, 2014, has still not been identified, despite research carried out in Switzerland and abroad. However, the criminal statute of limitations is still open.
“Investigation elements suggest that this woman would have links with one or more of these countries: France, Spain, Portugal and Brazil,” the Geneva police said on Tuesday, who had launched a call for witnesses in 2018. The body had been taken care of at the height of the falls, near the Quai du Cheval-Blanc.
The body was floating in the water, said a Geneva police spokeswoman. Since he was spotted, an anonymous tribute has been regularly published for ‘L’Inconnue de l’Arve’ in the death notice pages of the Tribune de Genève.
The Geneva police are launching a new call for witnesses in several languages. She asks anyone with information to contact the Geneva Criminal Brigade on 022 427 72 40 or 117.
This woman was around 40 to 50 years old ten years ago. She measured 1.56 meters and weighed 56 kilos. Her hair was long, bleached blonde and tied into a bun. She wore pearl earrings and a silver LOTUS watch. She had a tattoo of a four-leaf clover on the back of her right hand, near the thumb.
