We know more about the horror that struck young people on Halloween night in Saint-Péray (Ardèche). Nicolas, young rugby player aged 22 from Romans-sur-Isère (Drôme), was killed by a bullet in the head while he was waiting in the queue in front of the Ardèche nightclub.
The events occurred around 2:55 a.m., on the night of Thursday October 31 to Friday November 1, while the club was offering a Halloween evening with around 800 people. The Privas public prosecutor provides more information on the circumstances of this shooting.
He died of a bullet in the head
Nicolas, then present in the queue, was injured by a bullet to the head. He then died of his injuries on Saturday, November 2. Another customer and a security guardwho were also in the queue in front of the entrance to the nightclub, were injured in the legs without any life-threatening injuries.
The Valencia judicial police department was immediately informed of the investigation. On-site investigations made it possible to find a projectile that could correspond to 9 mm caliber inside a Golf vehicle parked in the nightclub parking lot with a broken window following the shooting.
A hooded individual dressed in black identified as the shooter?
The hearing of a security guard made it possible to establish that a hooded individual dressed entirely in black (like many customers present at this Halloween costume party) arrived on foot, “walking calmly, with his hands in his arms. pockets”, before pull out a handgun, apparently a small model.
“This witness then witnessed a first shot towards the queue, the individual being around forty meters from this queue. Several witnesses said they heard 4 or 5 shots,” said the Privas public prosecutor.
No arrests
At this stage of the procedure, the legal qualifications retained are those of intentional homicide (murder) and attempted intentional homicide committed in an organized gang, and criminal conspiracy with a view to committing a crime.
This Monday, November 4, there have still been no arrests as part of the investigation which continues blatantly to identify the perpetrator(s) of the facts as well as their motive.
