The Minister of Sports announced the upcoming appointment of Aliou Cissé’s successor on the proposal of the Senegalese Football Federation.
For the moment the national team is managed by interim Pape Thiaw since the departure of Aliou Cissé at the beginning of October. The former assistant of El Tactico achieved two good results against Malawi (4-0 and 0-1) thus qualifying the Lions for the Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025. But will he be the one to lead the team in this competition? Nothing is less certain because other profiles have come forward to occupy the position of coach of the Senegal national team.
