Médiamétrie publishes TV audience figures for the month of November 2024. A month which aims to provide stability for all channels, compared to the last three months. Last month's hearings highlighted the continued performance of TF1, while the news channels maintained their position in a context marked by Arcom's consideration of grouped numbering.
TF1 and France 2 still in the lead
TF1 maintains its leading position with an audience share reaching 19.5%. Up 0.4 points compared to October 2024 and 1.2 points year-on-year, the channel continues to dominate and thus focuses on prime-time entertainment.
France 2, displays an audience share of 14.1%, but experienced a slight decline of 0.3 points compared to October and a more significant loss of 1.3 points over one year. For its part, France 3 remains stable with 8.7%, with no notable change either monthly or annually.
The stability of information channels
Continuous news channels, at the heart of the news, show generally stable results. BFM TV, leader in the segment, recorded an audience share of 2.8%, with a slight drop of 0.1 point over one month but stability over one year. CNEWS, for its part, remains at 3.1%, with an increase of 0.6 points over one year. LCI follows a similar trend, gaining 0.1 points in one month to reach 1.7%, despite a slight annual loss of 0.1 points. Franceinfo brings up the rear with an audience of 0.8%, down 0.1 points over one month but stable over one year.
C8 and NRJ12: pending channels
While the two channels may be experiencing their last moments, C8 continues its rise with an audience share of 3.6% in November 2024, a slight increase of 0.1 point compared to October. Over one year, the channel recorded a more significant increase of 0.5 points.
NRJ12 maintains an audience share of 1% in November 2024, with no notable variation compared to previous months.
For private channels like M6 and TMC, the figures bode well since the 6th channel remains at 8.1% audience share, a figure unchanged over a month as over a year. The TF1 group channel progressed, gaining 0.3 points over one month, reaching 3.3%.
Group side
Television audiences for November 2024 confirm the dominance of the TF1 group, which reached an audience share of 27.6%. Up 0.8 points compared to October and 0.5 points year-on-year.
France Télévisions, on the other hand, shows a notable decline. With 27.1% audience share, the public group fell by 0.6 points over one month and 1.4 points over one year.
The M6 group stagnates at 13.2%, down slightly by 0.1 points compared to October, while Canal+ continues to make moderate progress. With 7.8% audience share, the latter gained 0.1 point over one month and 1 point over one year, driven by its premium content. Finally, RMC BFM maintains a stable audience share at 6.3%, recording a slight increase of 0.1 point over one year.
