Injuries to Reinbacher and Guhle: a strange coincidence

Funny coincidence, David Reinbacher and Kaiden Guhle were injured in similar circumstances this fall.

As was the case for Reinbacher in a preparatory game against the Toronto Maple Leafs, Guhle received a violent check against the boards on Thursday night against the Los Angeles Kings at the start of the period. If we look at the two sequences one after the other, the similarities are striking.

“The injuries are not of the same nature, but they occurred due to similar actions,” noted TVA Sports journalist Renaud Lavoie during his daily column. JiCFriday.

Host Jean-Charles Lajoie believes that Guhle must learn a lesson from this other injury in his young career.

“Maybe Guhle will have to learn to protect himself better,” he suggested. He is constantly exposed to rather violent contact.”

Guhle could take inspiration from… PK Subban.

“Max Pacioretty told me [à l’époque] : “I have to take inspiration from Subban.” PK never got hit solidly,” emphasized Lavoie.

Slow start for Suzuki

Canadiens captain Nick Suzuki is still looking for his first goal this season after five games.

There’s no need to worry, though: number 14 has gotten us used to slow starts.

In 2023-2024, he had to wait until his seventh game for him to open his account.

In 2021-2022, he needed 11 games.

“Don’t be afraid with Nick Suzuki,” said Lavoie.
