After only five days of championship, the Bottle Pro D1 has already lost 3 coaches, fired by their clubs. The Raja, the Difaâ and now the Moghreb of Tetouan will not end the season with the same technician on their respective sidelines. Appointed in mid-August to lead the Tetouan team, the Croatian Dalibor Starcevic is no longer the MAT coach. The club announced that the separation was done “by mutual agreement”, while thanking the technician for the work provided.
MAT’s problems do not stop at technical supervision or the casting error that brought Starcevic and his deputy to northern Morocco. The institutional void which marked the second half of last season and the departure of Abdellatif Jrindoufaced with the impossibility of seeing beyond a few weeks, have also contributed to the current situation of the MAT.
The club trains in dismal conditions on artificial turf and plays its matches on natural grass in Saniet R’mel. This situation alone should be the top priority, but the leaders decided it was better to part ways with the coach. The future will tell us whether the Croatian and his assistant will take legal action before the institutions. Placed in penultimate place with 3 draws and 2 defeats, the MAT will have to make a new start with a new coach. Unless the leaders have other priorities for the club.
