‘Katara’ Prize: Moroccan novelist Thami Al Ouazzani named personality of the year

Tributes will also be paid to the winners of the six categories of the prize, namely the “published novels“, THE “unpublished novels“, THE “youth novels“, THE “Unpublished history essays“, THE “literary criticism“and the”Roman Qatari“. The festival will also be marked by workshops in which renowned writers and critics will participate, dedication ceremonies for new publications published by Katara and other Qatari publishers, the objective being to allow readers to interact with their favorite authors, promote reading and encourage exploration of the literary world.

The General Director of the Public Foundation of the Cultural Village “Katara”, Khalid Bin Ibrahim Al-Sulaitiindicated that the “Katara” Prize has achieved significant achievements over its ten editions by giving the Arabic novel a prominent place on the Arab and international cultural scene.

Since its launch in 2014, the “Prix Katara” of the Arab novel has worked to consolidate the presence of distinguished Arabic novels on an international scale.
