Barça coach Xavi Hernandez was not kind to his players after the defeat against Girona on Saturday.

Barça lost on Saturday against Girona in the 35the La Liga day (4-2). A defeat which hurts even more since it allows to be officially crowned champion with four days remaining. At the end of the , Xavi did not spare his players when giving his impressions of the clash.

Xavi very angry with his players

It was Barça who opened the scoring first in this clash against Girona. Even after Michel’s men equalized early, the Blaugranas regained the lead at the end of the first half. We then saw Barcelona unfold in the second half. But it was quite the opposite with a Blaugrana defense which was manhandled by the Girona attackers. A performance which was not at all to the taste of Xavi who made it known at the end of the match.

“I am very angry today. The truth is that we lost control of the game due to blatant errors that cannot exist. This keeps happening to us. We had the match to decide and we gave it away. It’s a carbon copy of the Madrid match, of the other Girona match. We have to change a lot to compete next year. Today I am sad and disappointed. We have seen both sides of the coin”railed the Catalan technician at a press conference.

Xavi will not turn around again

This new defeat for Barça has relaunched debates on Xavi’s future. However, the former Spanish international announced a few days ago that he no longer intended to leave his post. And for him, there is no question of going back on his decision again.
