Dakar, April 30 (APS) – The President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, has been staying in Guinea-Bissau since Tuesday morning, for a working and friendship visit, APS learned from the Senegalese presidency.

The President of the Republic will return to Dakar this afternoon.
According to the Government Information Office (BIG) of Senegal, trade between the two countries affects almost all areas. ”From security to culture, including the very strategic fishing sector, Dakar and Bissau continue to consolidate their very strong historical links, which are framed by multiple agreements,” underlines the BIG.
He points out that on a commercial level, Guinea-Bissau is among Senegal’s client countries in Africa, with exports estimated in net weight at 108,257 tonnes in 2022, or 55.201 billion CFA francs, with an increase of 33.5%. compared to the year 2021.
