Accused of domestic violence, Bruno Pelat, new companion of Iris Mittenaere, was placed under judicial supervision this Friday afternoon pending the trial which will take place on November 6, CNEWS learned from the Paris prosecutor’s office.
At the end of his 48-hour police custody, the new companion of the former Miss France and Miss Universe of 2016 Iris Mittenaere, Bruno Pelat, appeared this Friday, September 27 in the afternoon of Friday, September 27 before the Paris criminal court. The man is in fact accused of domestic violence against the 31-year-old Northerner.
Finally, Bruno Pelat was placed under judicial supervision pending his trial which will take place on November 6, CNEWS learned from the Paris prosecutor’s office, confirming information from Le Parisien. The man is also prohibited from having contact with the victim and is required to provide care.
Violence that occurred at the defendant’s home
He was placed in police custody this Tuesday, September 24, in the premises of the police station in the 18th district of the capital for domestic violence.
As previously indicated, Bruno Pelat was placed in police custody on Tuesday and this was extended on Wednesday September 25 afternoon. It was part of an investigation opened for “violence” against his partner Iris Mittenaere “not exceeding eight days of incapacity for work (ITT)”, according to the same source.
According to the first elements of the investigation, the facts occurred at the home of the companion of the former Miss France on the night of September 23 to 24. They were reported via the digital victim support platform, said the public prosecutor, contacted by CNEWS.
According to Le Parisien, Iris Mittenaere suffered an injured hand and appeared Tuesday evening at a fashion event with a splint. The violence being described as “light”, the former Miss France was, at first, hesitant to file a complaint before changing her mind on Wednesday morning.
As a reminder, Iris Mittenaere and her partner Diego El Glaoui separated in May 2024 after four years of relationship. In the summer of 2024, the former Miss France began a new relationship with Bruno Pelat.
