It was a more annoyed than truly satisfied Christophe Urios who delivered his analysis after his team’s victory, albeit a bonus (26-10), against Bayonne, this Saturday. The overall performance of his players did not really convince him.
“What I liked was the result, the offensive bonus and the fact that we didn’t have any injuries. I also liked, at times, some high-class moves. After that, I didn’t like everything else. We’re still getting used to it. I have the impression that we’re on top in this match that we have to be able to not scare ourselves at the end.

In the first half, we were not connected on the carrier-support relationship; we lost four balls in the scoring zone when all we had to do was keep them to score tries. That’s demanding. Not everyone should want to play these balls. There’s real work to do.
In the second half, the first twenty minutes were good but we didn’t score. We fell several times in front of the in-goal area but we didn’t score. Afterwards, the end of the match wasn’t good.
When I talk about running-in, I’m talking about everything, everything… The staff, the preparation for the match, the match. We need to raise our level of demand. We train well during the week, but the week is the week… I hope we’re not just a team of the week. That’s what frustrates me. There’s so much quality in this group that we have to be able to put it on the field on the weekend. There you go, we’re running-in, but it mustn’t last six months.
