The Corsica is preparing to be affected by a new episode of pollution linked to fine particles coming from the Sahara from Thursday January 23, announced the air quality monitoring organization, Qualitair Corsica. This phenomenon, caused by a southerly flow, should lead to a significant increase in dust in the air tomorrow, with a possible exceeding of regulatory thresholds.
Although these particles are of natural origin, their presence in the atmosphere can present health risks, particularly for sensitive populations. Vulnerable people, particularly those suffering from respiratory or cardiovascular pathologies, children, pregnant women and the elderly, are invited to take precautions. It is particularly advisable to limit physical exertion outdoors.
