JY Park (Park Jin Young) recently lost his father.
On January 20, singer and founder of JYP Entertainment, JY Park, shared the unfortunate news of his father’s passing on social media.
In a long message, he wrote:
“Just before the final live broadcast of “The Ddandara” today, my father passed away and went to heaven.
I was recording just 10 minutes from the hospital when he passed away. Thanks to this, I was able to visit him before the recording and see him again immediately after his death.
-For the past year, he has lived almost unconscious, so the family had mentally prepared for this moment. But when I saw my father after he passed away, I felt like my heart had collapsed.
Until the end, I never called you “father”; I always called you “dad”, my “best friend”. Now you are probably reading this letter in heaven.
The person I have become today is really thanks to you, Dad. THANKS. You have been the best father to me. Let’s meet up one day and have a long talk. »
