MISCELLANEOUS FACTS. A citizen decided to keep it simple at the start of 2025. On the night of January 3 to 4, a large load of waste was abandoned on Chemin du Diable, in Drummondville.

It was a citizen who alerted L’Express. Indeed, the remains of an apartment are found in the middle of the public road. Mattresses, bed base, glass table, storage shelf and construction materials are just some of the waste that can be found on site.

“It has no class. I would like to call him several names…” said the woman, who wishes to remain anonymous for fear of reprisals.

This portion of Chemin du Diable, just past the City of Drummondville wastewater treatment plant, is closed to automobile traffic and used in winter as a trail for snowmobilers and quad riders.

The vice-president of the ARDAD Drummondville Snowmobile Club, René Cloutier, confirms that this portion is used by members, but that for the moment, due to the lack of snow, the trail is mainly used by walkers.

Everything should be cleaned up by the municipality later.
