Hyesung saw her military service end a few weeks after arriving at the training center.
The VANNER member had enlisted in the army on December 4, and he therefore began his five weeks of basic training on that date before the start of his military service. However, just two weeks later, he was discharged from military service for the sake of his mental health.
This December 16, Kleb Entertainment announced via the official VANNER fan café:
“Hyesung is discharged from his military duties on December 16.
Two weeks after entering the training camp, Hyesung was admitted to the Daejeon Armed Forces Hospital due to pre-existing panic disorder and mental illness. After undergoing a thorough examination, it was determined that he was unable to continue his normal military service and required continued treatment. As a result, he was discharged from military service.
We deeply apologize for worrying fans with this sudden news. We fully understand fans’ concerns regarding Hyesung, but we ask that you understand that we cannot provide additional details beyond what has already been shared. We will continue to do our best to ensure Hyesung can focus on her treatment. »
