The 66-year-old singer shared a very rare family portrait, featuring her with her six children, her partner, Jamaican footballer Akeem Morris and her father, Silvio Anthony Ciccone, 93 years old.
After a difficult year, Madonna gathered her family around her to spend the Thanksgiving holidays with family. For the occasion, the 66-year-old star shared a very rare portrait of her (almost) complete family. On her Instagram account, the pop icon appears alongside her six children: Lourdes Leon (28 years old), Rocco Ritchie (24 years old), David Banda (19 years old), Chifundo “Mercy” James (18 years old) and the twins Stella and Estere (12 years old).
“We are born into families and we create our own,” she wrote in the caption. As time goes by, I increasingly appreciate these microcosms of life that dance around me and teach me lessons every day.” Photos in which appear one by one the singer's loved ones, her pets and her family's horses, as well as her boyfriend, Jamaican footballer Akeem Morris.

But the photo also and above all pays tribute to his father, Silvio Anthony “Tony” Ciccone, now aged 93, and to his brother Christopher, who died in October at the age of 63. “My family has suffered many losses this year. My father endured with dignity. I remember him crying in the cemetery when we buried my brother Christopher – right after he lost his wife (Joan, Madonna's mother-in-law, Editor's note). It was a moment I will never forget,” she wrote.
“The last few years have not been easy”
“Spending time with him and all my kids on Thanksgiving was medicine for the soul,” she concluded on Instagram. Madonna's younger brother died from a devastating pancreatic cancer on October 4, 2024, leaving a large family to mourn and now gathered in his memory.
He and Madonna had a falling out in 2008, after the book was published Life with my sister Madonna. “The last few years have not been easy. We didn't speak for a while, but when my brother got sick, we found our way back to each other,” the queen of pop said. “He was in so much pain at the end. We closed our eyes and we danced. Together. I'm glad he's no longer in pain. (…) I know he’s dancing somewhere.”
