“I haven't been able to attend many presentations because, as you know, I have lost my sight. So it is difficult for me to see it, but I like to hear it and, tonight, it sounded good,” said the 77-year-old British artist.
“I am recovering, but it is an extremely slow process and it will take some time before sight returns to the affected eye,” he added in a statement.
Forced to postpone his album project
At the beginning of September, Elton John revealed that he had contracted an eye infection in his right eye while on vacation in the south of France which “left him with limited vision in one eye”.

In November, he told the American channel ABC that he could no longer see anything in his right eye and that his “left eye was not in the best shape”. He also indicated that his health problems prevented him from working on new musical projects.
