In September, Flore Benguigui announced on her social networks that she was leaving the pop group L'Impératrice for “protect your physical and mental health”. For her fans, five months after the release of the band's last album, partly written and composed by the singer, and the conclusion of a huge, triumphant international tour, the shock was as great as the surprise.

This Saturday, November 23, during a video interview with Mediapart, she explains her reasons: “I was completely under the influence! I had to run away. » She reports a sexist environment made up of humiliation and violent intimidation which resulted in her losing her voice. Common methods, she says, in a “toxic and unfair Music industry, especially towards women”.
