Louane suffers from eating disorders
This Thursday, October 24, Louane released her fifth album, entitled Solo. For the occasion, she gave an interview to our colleagues at Parisian where she notably confided in her eating disorders.
“I’m afraid every time I eat, it’s a piece of me that I’m eating and it’s been like that since I was little,” she admitted at first.
In the process, she added: “I don’t want to go into depth on this issue because it hasn’t been resolved. But I have no problem telling myself that I have had EDs (eating disorders) for years. It’s a long and difficult fight to get out of it. Especially since my body is evolving in front of people’s eyes.”
The singer was a victim of fatphobia
On the front of the stage since his participation in The
Voice in 2013, Louane was subject to various criticisms on social networks. Among them, some concern his weight. The first time she was the victim of fatphobia, Louane remembers it as if it were yesterday…
“Do I take responsibility for my body? It’s obvious. Now it stops there. Do I still suffer inside? Sometimes yes. It’s not constant as it used to be The first time I was a victim of fatphobia, I was a size 38, it was for the Victoires de la Musique in 2019. I spent my Saturday crying in front of Twitter. Now I’m trying to accept myself and. I share it in my songs, if I can help people with my songs, that’s great.”she confided.
Louane, a big fan of tattoos
Louane takes responsibility for her body, which she decided to tattoo when she was 16 and she did it alone! “I did it to myself, at 16, in my boarding school room, with a needle and Indian ink. I don’t recommend it, for hygiene, it’s not great. They say that you have to think carefully before getting a tattoo, because it is irreversible. And I agree. But I don’t do it”she admitted in the columns of
Psychologies.
Among the 40 tattoos she has on her skin, Louane has one that she particularly appreciates and it concerns her daughter. “From the minute my daughter was born, I wanted her to be anchored in me. This tattoo is the first I did for her: her first name, in an ex-voto, because she is the love of my life. That she changed my life And that I have a piece of all the people I love with me: those who are there, those who are gone, my parents, I have them. tattoo to keep them close to me”she explained.
