Metallica captivated their fans with the premiere of their longest track to date, Inamorata, on the second night of their M72 tour at the Olympiastadion on May 26, 2024. The song, an 11-minute epic, is the final track from their 2023 album, 72 Seasons.

Frontman James Hetfield introduced Inamorata with a sentiment that embodies the band’s ethos: “In our group we don’t recognize the word ‘mistake’, because there are no mistakes, there are just unique moments that happen.”. He described the track as a personal favorite, adding that it is about a “love affair with misery”.

This concert in Munich was part of Metallica’s M72 tour, which started in April 2023 in Amsterdam. The tour features a unique format where the band plays two shows in each city, with completely different setlists each night, ensuring a fresh experience for concertgoers.
