Madonna allegedly inflicted an unwitting porn spectacle on her fans during a concert in California. At least one of them thinks so and has therefore decided to file a complaint.

Accusing Madonna of “pornography” is nothing new! The singer has built her career on a provocative attitude that combines “celebration of sex” – as she said about the clip for her song “Justify My Love” (1990), directed by Jean-Baptiste Mondino and censored by MTV –, and provocation towards religion, particularly Catholic – which earned him the wrath of the Vatican.

Has he never listened to the words of his songs? Has he never seen his music videos, like that of “Erotica” (1992)? Has he never leafed through his beautiful photo book sex, a bestseller with a title that couldn’t be more explicit? Not to mention “Like a Virgin” (1984) with its assumed ambiguity.
Simulation of sexual acts
In any case, Justin Lipeles, the plaintiff, believes that spectators at the Kia Forum concert were exposed to “pornography without warning”, such as “topless women on stage simulating sexual acts”. The fan reportedly felt like he was “watching a pornographic film being made,” reports The Blast.
His complaint was filed Wednesday, May 29 in the Superior Court of California in Los Angeles County.
Delay, heat and playback
In his complaint in his personal name and in class action, the Live Nation turner is also targeted, and Justin Lipeles is not content with denouncing ambient pornography… The complaint includes several other points. Breach of written contract, negligent misrepresentation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, false advertising, negligent infliction of emotional distress and injustice: these are the grounds put forward before the California judge.
Like other spectators before him, Justin Lipeles denounces the fact that Madonna did not go on stage until after 10 p.m., while the concert was supposed to start at 8:30 p.m. He would have come well in advance and would have suffered of this expectation. Suffering which increased once he managed to enter the room, where the temperature was very high. He goes so far as to claim that Madonna banned air conditioning and encouraged the public to take off their clothes to be cooler. Justin Lipeles assures that the room was sweaty and that he fell ill, like others that evening, because of the heat.
And all this for a playback concert! According to the complainant, the singer performed with “apparent lip synchronization”, which was not announced during ticket sales.
Lack of respect
“ Forcing consumers to wait for hours in hot, uncomfortable places and subjecting them to pornography without warning is a demonstration of Madonna’s casual lack of respect for her fans,” said the disappointed fan’s lawyer. As in previous trials, he claims for himself and the other spectators damages for breach of written contract due to late start time. He is also seeking reimbursement for court costs and reasonable attorney’s fees.
Madonna’s communications team has not commented on this new complaint. His free megaconcert on Copacabana beach in Rio de Janeiro on May 4 was a triumph and closed his 80-date world tour which celebrated his 40-year career. The audience (1.5 million fans) sang “Like a Virgin” in unison without anyone being moved by the choreography.
