“Gone way too soon”: Former The Voice candidate dies at just 29

Benjamin Szwarc, who participated in the tenth season of The Voice, died on Saturday May 18 at the age of 29. It was Cyril Cinélu, the winner of season 6 of Star Academy, who shared this very sad news yesterday on his Instagram account. “Have a good trip, friend,” he wrote in the caption of a photo from Le Parisien.

The family of The Voice France, whose final of the 2024 edition will be held next Saturday with “special guest” Nemo, is in mourning. Benjamin Szwarc, candidate for season 10 of the TF1 talent show, died on Saturday May 18 at just 29 years old.

The Parisian presented himself at the blind auditions of The Voice in 2021. If no coach had turned around on his cover of “Rêver” by Mylène Farmer, he had marked viewers with his high voice.

“It is with immense sadness that we announce the accidental death of Benjamin on Saturday May 18, 2024. Benjamin was an artist to the depths of his soul. More than anything, he loved singing, acting, dancing and making people laugh. Although he left far too soon, Benjamin left behind precious messages that we will try to discover and understand. Rest in peace. We will love you all our lives,” his family wrote on Facebook on Wednesday May 22.
