In mid-August, TF1 launched the broadcast of season 10 of The Voice Kids. Four coaches made up their teams during the traditional blind auditions: Lara Fabian, Slimane, Claudio Capéo, and the great Patrick Fiori. All the young candidates dreamed of going as far as possible to succeed Durel, last year’s winner. Four of them qualified for the final which took place this Saturday, October 5, namely, Tim, Coline, April and Louis CG. At the end of the evening, Tim – who burst into tears while talking about his personal story after singing with Patrick Bruel – won season 10 of The Voice Kids with her coach Lara Fabian. For Tele-Leisurehe confides in his victory.
Tim (The Voice Kids) didn’t see himself winning: “I was a loser for myself“
Télé-Leisure: Congratulations on your victory! How do you feel the day after this unforgettable evening?
Tim : I still don’t realize it. It was a crazy thing that happened to me and I’m still trying to get the emotions down. I’m trying to calm down! This experience was great.
What state of mind were you in for this final?
I was a loser for myself. I saw the performances of April, Louis and Coline and I was shocked at the level. For me, it was a certainty that I was not going to be the winner. I had already won by being there, it was just a bonus. I gave everything and tried to send a message to the public.
How did you experience the wait between filming the semi-final and the final (nine months passed)?
It was very long, but also very short. We knew the big day was coming, but I didn’t think too much about it. I was calm and I worked. I also continued my choir and that’s what I had to do. When the big day arrived, it was crazy.
Tim on his relationship with Lara Fabian: “She is so kind and caring”
Did you stay in touch with Lara Fabian during these long months?
No, I couldn’t stay in touch because I didn’t have his number yet. It was a crazy thing to be with her because she is so kind and caring.
Filming took place in the afternoon, but the announcement of the results was late in the evening. How did you experience this wait?
I rested and enjoyed the moment. It was really, really cool. It wasn’t too long and it felt good to settle down after all the songs I sang.
How did you feel when the result was announced by Nikos Aliagas ?
I was in another world! It was something crazy and I couldn’t believe it. When we know it’s real, we realize how lucky we are. It’s incredible to be The Voice Kids 2024. I loved that.
Have you had the opportunity to speak with your opponents?
Yes, they were happy for me. We knew it was just a bonus so we didn’t really care, even though we know it can open doors.
Tim was overwhelmed while singing with Patrick Bruel: “I felt like I was telling my story”
You burst into tears after your performance on Who has the right with Patrick Bruel by talking about your personal story. What were you thinking?
I was thinking about my story because it touched me. I felt like I was telling my story like I don’t know my dad. It touched me to be able to tell it to people and to be able to express what I had deep inside me. I felt like I had to do it.
Did you choose this song?
Non, it was Patrick Bruel who chose. HAS The Voice Kidsit is the artist who chooses and we must adapt.
Did he know about your story?
No, he didn’t know her.
What did Lara Fabian say to you when you won?
We gave each other a big hug because we both didn’t believe it. She told me ‘no, it’s not true, it’s incredible’. The performances of the others were crazy. I didn’t think I was going to succeed.
Will you stay in touch?
Maybe, we’ll see.
Are you dreading going back to school on Monday?
No, not too much.
Now that The Voice Kids is finished and you have won, do you have any plans?
Yes, maybe I have. I would like to succeed in doing good to people by singing and doing small concerts. It’s important to me to be able to do this.
What has changed in you thanks to your participation?
I managed to work on my management of emotions and it paid off because I was able to tell my story without saying that I wanted to cry. For example, for Who has the right? I had the audience singing along and I really wanted to cry, but it calmed down.
If you could do a duet with any artist, who would it be?
I would like to sing You are my other with Lara Fabian, or with Lady Gaga on Shallow.
