Every summer, their summer music video is eagerly awaited by all fans. The LEJ group has created its own musical event with their mashups of the biggest hits of the year. It all started in 2015, “How did we choose the first titles of the first mashup? It’s a bit of a blur… We had a glass of red wine in hand, but we wanted Bigflo and Oli and Pharrell Williams. We played the first part in June [de Pharrell Williams N.D.L.R.] and we wanted to put some of the sound Freedom » remember Elisa and Juliette.
“Freedom, equality, Mbappé”
But LEJ is not just covers to make best-ofs, they also have their own compositions including a song to celebrate the world champion footballers in 2018. Lucie looks back on this improbable moment in their career: “It’s Mbappé’s family who invited us to sing in front of him, his loved ones and his fans. The idea was to celebrate the title when it returned to Bondy.” Invited on stage by Pharrell, by Mbappé but also Bigflo and Oli, the LEJ know that the planets are aligned: “there are moments when we missed it and others when we were there at the right time”, smiles Elisa … But it is Juliette who has the best explanation: “you have to trust your destiny”.
