Salvatore Adamo gives his news after his pulmonary edema

Ce 1is October, Salvatore Adamo returns to the stage in at the Olympia. A concert which had been postponed due to health concerns of the 80-year-old Belgian singer, victim of pulmonary edema in October 2023.

Speaking to Le Parisien, Salvatore Adamo gave his news: “Knock on wood, but everything is fine. I regained my breath and my energy. The pulmonary edema disappeared thanks to diuretic treatments. I’ve done six concerts, including the Grand Rex, and it’s okay. I try to slow down as best I can, but it’s not in my character. It has always been a total gift, to be worthy of this privilege that I have to still be able to sing in front of an audience and do what I love. »

At Le Parisien, Salvatore Adamo took the opportunity to announce the preparation of a new studio album, which will include a duet with Axelle Red: “It will be a double album, between sixteen and eighteen tracks, in very different styles. I started it just before my health problem, in September 2023. It will perhaps be called ‘Medlars and Gooseberries’, from the title of a new social song that I really like. I’m not saying it will be my last, but it’s possible. Each album is a big investment and an anxiety that affects my health (…) It’s the idea of ​​releasing with dignity, of leaving something that I’m really happy with. I try to give the best of the moment and I have the fear of making one album too many, of falling into pathos, even on stage. »
