The pair formed by Aurélien and Sébastien, two former teammates of the yellow tribe, was finally eliminated with six votes against him. The real estate sales agent, however, tried to turn things around by revealing to the ex-Reds that Meïssa had been betraying them for several days. Aurélien: At the start, I said to myself that it was great because with Seb, we are friends, I know his determination so it’s cool for the events, we had every chance. But at the same time, if we didn’t win, we were bad. Strategically, it was rotten. Right away, we had to think and concentrate on the events at first because this draw was a blessing for the former Reds, an unfortunate coincidence.

At the camp, you tell the Reds that Meïssa is the mole of the group. Was this the only way out?
At that moment, it’s the only thing we see. In Koh Lanta, as soon as you are in the light, you are in danger. The more we see you, the more we can think of you for the vote. With two Yellows doing well in the tests, it was necessary to direct the light elsewhere. I had no qualms about throwing out someone who had turned their coat around from the first step taken on the island of reunification. I was pretty confident about this strategy. Logically, when there is a traitor, we take him out.
Did you believe at one point that it was going to work?
Downright ! We were pretty confident. Seb tried to hold on with a fake collar but I felt that the sauce wasn’t taking too much. We really believed it: for us, it was logical to take out the traitor. We told ourselves it was going to work.

During the council, you tell Meïssa that he is ridiculous. What do you think of his defense strategy?
He lies but on top of that, he has a tone that I hate. I didn’t like the way he spoke to certain people on several occasions. He speaks to me in this tone which I find ridiculous because he doesn’t need to do that. It annoys me a little. I’m in self-control mode but I tell myself that it works more to his disadvantage. The way he speaks is not necessarily respectful. It reassures me ; the more ridiculous he is like that, the more it works in our favor.
Why do you think Meïssa was not eliminated by the former Reds when you revealed the deception to them?
I really don’t know… I think they wanted to be corporate. You have to ask them, I don’t understand their votes. The number of convinced people is not far from reversing the trend because Jean votes against Meïssa, David votes against Pauline and Mégane has two votes and chooses both Pauline and Sébastien. I still don’t understand today.

Do you have any regrets about the way things turned out?
I have no regrets but I learn from them. We could have been more insistent with the ex-Reds, we could have helped Jean in the search for his necklace. We can redo the story a thousand times but the game is done. I prefer to learn from it and use it in my life. I helped make a fire, I started from zero in survival, I did many tests, we experienced some crazy things with the adventurers. I prefer to remember that.
