Announced almost four years ago following the end of the original manga (read the news), the animated project of Beautiful recently made headlines again.
We now know that it will be an animated film, and that it is scheduled to be released in Japan on December 5, 2025. It will be directed by Gorô Kuji, while the screenplay will be handled by Junji Nishimura and Kazuyoshi Takeda ( the original mangaka), and the production of the animation by Shin-Ei Animation and Fugaku studios.

In France, the excellent original manga and its spin-off Peleliu Gaiden are available from Vega editions.
Synopsis of the manga:
-The Battle of Peleliu, codenamed Operation Stalemate II, took place during World War II between the United States and Japan in the Pacific between September and November 1944 on the island of Peleliu. , in the Palau archipelago.
The American general had predicted that the island would be secured in four days, but due to well-established fortifications and strong Japanese resistance, the fighting lasted more than two months. This battle is surely the most controversial of the war, due to the questionable strategic value of the island and the large number of deaths. Indeed, after the decisive American victory in the Battle of the Philippine Sea, the Japanese air force no longer represented such a serious threat and the Peleliu objective therefore appeared non-strategic.
