“Babygirl”, January 15

Businesswoman, wife and mother of two teenagers, Romy has everything to be happy. Until the day she catches the eye of Samuel, a young intern who will lead her into an affair that is as torrid as it is dangerous for her career. A fan of erotic thrillers from the 1990s, Dutch director Halina Reijn is reinventing the genre in the post-MeToo era. Facing Briton Harris Dickinson, Australian star Nicole Kidman delivers the most breathtaking performance of her career, both literally and figuratively.

“Better Man”, January 22

Once upon a time there was Robbie Williams, a kid from Stoke-on-Trent who dreamed of becoming a pop star. After being part of boyband Take That in the 1990s, he launched a solo career that exceeded all expectations, before sinking into artificial paradises. One more biopic? Not quite since to tell the wonderful adventure of the interpreter of Angles, the director Michael Gracey transformed him… into a monkey!

“A complete stranger”, January 29

A unique case in the history of musical biopics, the performer is undoubtedly better known to the new generation than the model. Suffice to say that we are curious to see how Timothée Chalamet managed (or not) to disappear behind Bob Dylan's guitar in front of James Mangold's camera. An experienced director to whom we already owe the seduction Walk the Line on Johnny Cash with Joaquin Phoenix. The perfect marriage? The first trailer has in any case already given goosebumps to more than one fan of the “Like a Rolling Stone” singer.

“Mickey 17”, April 16

Five after the triumph of Parasite at the Oscars, Bong Joon-ho returns to business with this adaptation of a science fiction novel by American writer Edward Ashton. Robert Pattinson plays Mickey, the disposable employee on a space mission whose bosses clone him every time he dies by accident. Until the day when, after being abandoned on an icy planet, he returns quietly… and finds himself face to face with the new version of himself. Count on the brilliant South Korean filmmaker to inject a good dose of social satire into this blockbuster which promises to be as spectacular as it is crazy.

“Mission Impossible : The Final Reckoning”, le 21 mai

In the first part released in 2023, Ethan Hunt faced the most dangerous enemy of his entire career as a secret agent: an artificial intelligence. After making him run around the world, she took one of his closest allies from him. Suffice it to say that this time, our hero fully intends to overcome it. For Tom Cruise, 62, this will be the final installment of the action franchise inspired by the series of the same name. At least that's what he suggests in the absolutely stunning first trailer.

“28 years later”, June 18

Director Danny Boyle and screenwriter Alex Garland reinvigorated the old-fashioned zombie film in 2002 with 28 days later, a cult film which was entitled to a sequel, 28 weeks laterand which has inspired a host of post-apocalyptic fictions since, from The Walking Dead has The Last Us. The pair have reunited to concoct a new trilogy, the first part of which has just been revealed in an impressive trailer. While living on an island safe from the virus, the survivors send one of their own to their continent for a mysterious reason. With Aaron Taylor-Johson, Jodie Comer, Ralph Fiennes… and the return of Cillian Murphy, hero of the first film?

”, June 25

For several months now, motor racing fans have been feverishly awaiting the release of the film by Joseph Kosinski, the director of Top Gun : Maverick. Brad Pitt will play Sonny Hayes, a former star of the circuits in the 1990s who returns to service to take under his wing Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris), a hopeful who is languishing in the depths of the rankings. The first teaser is already a few months old and is mouth-watering. The roaring blockbuster of 2025?

Superman, July 9

After the late Christopher Reeve, the short-lived Brandon Routh and the tormented Henry Cavill during the Zack Snyder era, it is the turn of David Corenswet, a young actor revealed in the series Hollywood by Ryan Murphy to put on the red and blue tights of the most famous of all superheroes. Behind the camera, we find James Gunn, the director of Guardians of the Galaxy moved from Marvel to DC Comics for the most anticipated resurrection of the year. “Michael”, October 1

Jaafar Jackson in the biopic “Michael”. The resemblance is stunning. -Lionsgate

With the boom in musical biopics since the triumph of Bohemian RhapsodyHollywood would sooner or later rub shoulders with the incredible story of the King of Pop. Directed by Antoine Fuqua (Training Day), this Michael was written in close collaboration with the singer's family. If he should ignore the darker aspects of his personal life, he nevertheless promises to be fascinating thanks to the uncanny physical resemblance of Jaafar Jackson, the “Thriller” singer's own nephew that we would swear back from the dead in the first set photos which have already been revealed…

“Avatar: Fire and Ash”, December 17

20thCentury Studios

It took James Cameron 13 years to produce a sequel to the biggest theatrical success of all time. Barring an improbable twist, the third part will be on our screens for the Christmas holidays and could become the biggest success of 2025. On the screenplay side, we know little other than that the Canadian filmmaker has decided to introduce us to the people of the ashes, Na'vi who were much less friendly than those he had accustomed us to so far. For the rest, we trust him to once again revive the magic of Pandora in 3D.
