The plot follows Travis Shaw, a veterinarian with a relaxed attitude towards life and love. His orderly, uncompromising world changes radically when he meets Gabby Holland, a medical student who moves in next door. Gabby is the complete opposite of Travis: passionate, pragmatic, and to complicate matters even more, she is engaged to another man. Despite their differences, a connection emerges between them that brings into play not only their beliefs, but also the decisions they have made up to that point.
