We are not far from the industrial incident: the film Kraven the Hunterin which Aaron Taylor-Johnson plays the role of Spider-Man's iconic enemy, has just made a disastrous debut in American cinemas, reports Écran Large.

While it was distributed in more than 3,200 theaters, the feature film directed by JC Chandor would in fact have accumulated, over the weekend of December 14 and 15, 2024, “only” 11 million in revenue at the US box office. … when its production, which exploded following recent Hollywood strikes, cost 110!
We agree, eleven million is not so bad… but it remains below the start of Madame Web which, having raised $15 million in February 2024 – on more than 4,000 screens – was already considered a failure. Even though it only cost 80 million.
Backpedaling
After the belly Madame Webthat of Venom 3 (which did not reach the revenues of the previous installments), Sony has therefore decided, according to Écran Large, to pause its universe around the “super-villains of the Spider-Man universe”.
