Harry Potter, it’s with JK Rowling or nothing! Warner Bros. Discovery sticks to its positions, regardless of the number of detractors who condemn the author of the saga Harry Potterwhose remarks deemed transphobic are assumed and repeated. The production company, which holds the rights to adapt the license (renamed “Wizarding World”), is working on a new adaptation of the literary heptalogy, this time into a TV series.
The first season, adapting the first book, should be broadcast on HBO (owned by the Warner group) in 2026, or twenty-five years after the release of the first film in cinemas – in France, it will be on the Max platform. And to work on this new version of the adaptation, Warner Bros. once again appealed to the writer. During a press conference on November 12, Casey Bloys, HBO’s director of programs, confirmed the novelist’s great involvement in the choice of the artistic team (writers, directors, casting).
