Jack and Rose form one of the most emblematic couples in the seventh art. Although it only lasted a few days, their love story left an impression on both the audience and Rose’s character. Moreover, at the end of Titanicwe can see that the latter has fulfilled all the promises made to her dear and tender. A detail that will, even more, make you cry.
James Cameron is known to leave nothing to chance in his films et Titanic is obviously no exception to the rule. Between the historical elements hidden in certain scenes and the lines which announce the end of the film, the director concealed many details in his 90s masterpiece. For example, have you noticed that the photos of Rose at the end of Titanic were full of meaning?
Rose lived for Jack after the Titanic sank
In a scene from the first quarter of TitanicRose (Kate Winslet) and Jack (Leonardo DiCaprio) promise to meet again to go to a pier, ride a roller coaster until I vomited and ride horses on the beach like real cowboys. Plans launched on the fly but which were truly carried out. At the end of Titanicwhen Rose takes her last breath, we can see a photo in which she poses on horseback on the beach and in front of a roller coaster… in tribute to Jack.
But that’s not all. When Rose is about to give up all hope of living on the raft because she is cold, Jack refuses to let her give up and tells her that she will not die ” not today » but when she is “ very very old » et « in a warm bed » . And, once again, the promise was kept since she died peacefully in his bed at the age of 100.
