Deadpool & Wolverine reveals one of its cameos: nothing is impossible anymore

If you’re a Marvel fan who’s still waiting for MCU redemption, you’re definitely waiting for Deadpool & Wolverine. The third installment of the saga dedicated to the crazy hero is about to play a most important role: establishing once and for all the introduction of Fox franchises into the cinematic universe managed by Disney. It’s been six years now since the big-eared company bought the famous studio. For superhero aficionados, this historic transaction meant above all the repatriation of major franchises – such as THE X-Men, the Fantastic Four and many more – from the MCU side.

In preparing the deployment of its Multiverse Saga, Disney did not hesitate to play with the hearts of fans by slipping in a few brief appearances that looked like teasers. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness even went so far as to cast new actors in cult roles simply to tear them down and shock viewers. HAS To date, not a single appearance of a character from the Fox universe was truly permanent – with the exception of Wanda Maximoff’s dubbing as Scarlet Witch in WandaVisionbut that may be about to change.

The first trailers for Deadpool & Wolverine set the tone: Wade Wilson will have to work with the Time Variance Authority to prevent a multidimensional catastrophe, certainly due to the still unexplained arrival of all these heroes. Will the MCU welcome them with open arms, or will it “reboot” them following the events of this film? While we wait for the answer next July 24a new teaser proves that Disney is determined to reintroduce unlikely characters.

Even missing roles get their chance

Once again, the short teaser of Deadpool & Wolverine consists mainly of scenes taken from past trailers, with the exception of one major reveal. By refraining from revealing the ins and outs of the scenario, Disney still tells us that one of the antagonists of the film will be none other than Sabretooth (or Sabretooth in French). But the surprises don’t stop there. The one that Fox had presented to us as Wolverine’s half-brother returns in the guise of Tyler Mane, first interpreter of the character in X-Men in 2000.

At the time, the studio made the decision to replace Mane with Liev Schreiber in order to get closer to Hugh Jackman’s physique for the reveal of the relationship. Disney therefore hopes to stimulate the nostalgia of long-time fans by offering a second chance to Tyler Mane’s Sabretooth. This appearance will certainly be one of the many improbable surprises that the film prepares. It’s clear that Deadpool & Wolverine intends to use the comedic aspect of the franchise to have fun with the forced heroic cameos that the MCU has accustomed us to. And you, which character from Fox do you hope to meet in this new film?
