Did you love the film “Poor Creatures”, released last January? Rejoice, director Yorgos Lanthimos’ newborn has just hit the big screen. But beneath its appearance of a croquignolet feature film with its title “Kinds of Kindness” (understand “Sortes de kindness” in French), the film tells three rather cruel stories, with dark humor and led by a troupe of actors: Emma Stone, Jesse Plemons (best actor award at the Cannes Film Festival) and Willem Dafoe.

Documentaries not to be missed this weekend

This week, a trio of heartbreaking documentaries hit streaming platforms. On Prime Video’s side, it was obviously “I Am: Celine Dion” that made our hearts flutter. In this documentary-confession event, the international star opens up frankly about her struggle with stiff person syndrome.

On the Disney+ side, it’s another icon who has the right to his own documentary. In “Diane von Fürstenberg: woman in charge”, director Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy looks back on the life and extraordinary career of this Belgian designer who created the wrap dress in the 1970s and who worked so hard for the cause of women for decades.

Finally, if you’re more into vacations and want to escape to the other side of the world, the show “Lucie in Australia” should take you on a trip. The program, available on the France tv website, follows the road trip of Lucie Carrasco, suffering from an incurable illness. A funny and inspiring journey.
